Recent changes to USP guidelines for chromatography allow changes to column particle type, size, and dimension without need for revalidation. This enables the change to SPP columns for methods developed on standard HPLC columns profiting from time and solvent savings.

Not every chromatography column is suited for 100% aqueous conditions. After restarting the pump it is best to use a combination of water and organic mobile phase for such a column. The Halo® AQ-C18 is 100% wettable so that this problem does not exist.
