Beakers

  • Low form with spout, also called Griffin tumbler, with or without handle:
    Height to diameter ratio is about 1.4
  • high form with spout, also called Berzelius beaker:
    the height is about twice the diameter

Beakers made of borosilicate glass 3.3

  • heat-resistant and resistant to most chemicals
  • easy to fill thanks to wide filling opening
  • contents can be stirred easily - e.g. with a glass stirring rod

Griffin beaker made of polypropylene

  • highly transparent
  • with easy-to-read, blue embossed scale
  • cleaning up to max. 60 °C is recommended to protect the embossing
  • conditionally autoclavable at 121 °C (2 bar) according to DIN EN 285 (for autoclaving, the version with raised scale is recommended)
  • suitable for contact with foodstuffs according to Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011

  • For preparing simple solutions
  • As simple reaction vessels
