HALO 90 Å PCS Phenyl-Hexyl

The HALO® PCS Phenyl-Hexyl stationary phase has a positively charged surface and a Phenyl-Hexyl functional group.

When basic compounds are run at low pH, they gain a proton and become positively charged. If the stationary phase is also positively charged, the bases are repelled, which leads to an improved peak shape. This is particularly relevant with a high loading.
When used with mobile phases of low ionic strength, the positively charged surface makes these columns also ideal for LCMS.
